"Life's a dance, you learn as you go.
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow.
Don't worry 'bout what you don't know.
Life's a dance, you learn as you go."
- Michael Montgomery
Hi there, I'm Sandy :)
I've learned that life really is all about the little things...
The little moments that make up our life story.
We grow up, go to college, we get married, we have kids, jobs, bills, laughs, tears, illness, loss ...
This is our life. Our story. Our legacy.
It is ours to tell, preserve and pass on.
There are times when it's hard to appreciate life as we're going through it, but as we age things change.
Our perspective changes and we start to value life a little bit more.
To be more patient, more forgiving, less critical, to slow down .... to just be and enjoy the moments.
At 55, I'm there.
I have been married to my awesome hubby for 30 years now. More than 1/2 my life!
We raised three awesome kids that are now young adults with lives of their own.
I have to say that I adore having grown kids.
They are strong, independent, honest, hard-working and fun to be around.
They are truly the best thing I've done in my life. ♥
So, why photography?
I've loved photographs for as long as I can remember.
The older the photograph, the better.
I love the stories they tell.
I love their beauty and power.
I find it so fascinating that you can hold up a "box", aim it at someone, and it can capture, recreate and preserve that exact moment in time. Forever.
How awesome is that??
I piddled and played with photography the whole time our kids were growing up, until one day, Sandy Keys Photography was born.
September 2007 my adventure began and I've never looked back.
The photographs I have created and the people I have met over the past 10 years .... absolutely priceless.
I am truly blessed by each and every one of you. ♥
Oh, and by the way .... we have two spoiled felines that we share our home with. They are great fun and appear here quite a bit as well. :) #keyskats #elikitty #smeagolkitty
